The iP5 Mirage is a DML (Distributed Mode Loudspeaker) flat panel ceiling loudspeaker that utilises technology licenced from NXT™ to create a flush mounted acoustic tile designed to fit unobtrusively into a standard suspended ceiling. The result is a safe, reliable, natural sounding audio solution that blends seamlessly with its architectural surroundings.

The vibrating surface area is constructed from aerospace materials to provide the best combination of stiffness, light weight, and pure audio output. This panel is vibrated by four specially developed 25mm (1.00") exciters to obtain the most natural sound and highest sound pressure levels.

For certain applications NXT™ technology has some unique installation benefits over all cone speakers. I particular this relates to the way in which sound waves from a distributed mode panel are propagated into the environment where the sound reacts constructively with the room boundaries.

The main benefits are extremely wide dispersion and, due to the random nature of radiation, exceptional resistance to microphone feedback. All this enables a single iP5 Mirage to cover large areas, especially in difficult acoustic environments.
